Graph and Chart Analysis

Some of our results may be biased as the group and I were limited to the variety and amount of people we could ask.

This chart shows that the majority of the people that we asked were ages ranging from 16 to 18. From this we decided that we would aim our production at 16-18 year olds.

We know from this graph that the majority of our audience is going to be female, therefore we shall aim our production at a feminine audience.

From this graph, the group and I have decided to have a rating of 15. We believe this will be appropriate in regard to the content of our film.

We picked horror for the genre of our film due to the results of this question. The pie chart clearly shows that most of our audience like horror films.

We have decided to inco-orpriate a child character within our production, as we know our audience will like it.

From this we know that 50% of the people that we asked watch horror films 4 to 6 times a month. we need to bare in mind that most of our audience have watched many horror films so we need to ensure that our film is unique and unlike anything our audience is likely to have seen.

Focus Group Question and Analysis

The majority of the people that we asked (3 out of 4) said that horror was their favourite genre. This then confirmed our decision of choosing to produce a horror opening, alongside the genre questionnaire.

Half of the participants stated that within a horror film they would most like to see jump scares, the other half said that gore was their favourite part. From this we will think about including these in our horror films.

We asked the participants what settings they would most expect from a horror film, the most popular answers were creepy or haunted house and the woods; because of this we have chosen to set our opening in the woods.

We have also taken into account the things that our participants said would put them off of a horror, we will not include romance nor will we have a big suspense leading up to the main scare.

Storyboard for Film Production

This is our sketched storyboard. This is a rough outline of our shots and scene.
